Appeal--Steam Please update this Fantastic Game

I'm hoping the Steam platform looks into updating this fantastic game. To get it to work in Windows 10 flawlessly. And to all it to run at higher resolutions--similar to how the platform has rescued Command & Conquer.

Yes, my game is zoomed in and I cant click on any button while in game because I cant see them... Is there any way to solve this?

YOU CAN CHANGE RESOLUTION IN NOTE PAD OF HOWW 2 THEN SAVE THE NEW NATIVE RESOLUTION YOU CHOOSE ALTERNATIVELY THERE ARE VERY SMALL LINES OF CODE CAN BE COPY AND PASTED INTO HOW2 FOLDER ,TO FIX THE RES .JUST SEARCH THE NET U WILL FIND THE FIX.

IT IS A REALLY GREAT FUN GAME , LOOKING TO FIND A WORKING VERSION OF SOME GREAT MODS LIKE STORM OVER EUROPE THAT ACTUALLY WORK.

You need to calm down with that capslock.
By the way do you have suggestion on to make this to work in windowed mode? Because I've tried setting the game's target in the attributes on the copy of the shortcut to ''/win'' and to ''-w'' and still cannot make this to run windowed on Windows 7 since Steam overlay won't work like used to on Windows XP.

Have any thoughts?

my soldiers WW 2 game isn't booting ujp and now seems to have locked into the open position, and yet all I have is a black screen.

Sadly this doesn't work if you run anything above a 1080p monitor. It also won't work if you have more than 1 monitor :-(

Hey guys...yes, I run Win 7 so I can dial it down to 720p and of course change soldiers.exe/properties/compatibilty to XP SP 2 or 3 and "Run as admin". Don't know if that helps as you were discussing Win 10, but I love this game too and want to help.

I have a question about Mods....I should probably start a new tread, but I am going to throw it out here cause you guys seem to know yer gaming.....I had probably 15-10 very well done Mods, including campaigns, installed back in the day which of course went away with the old system. Any tips on where to to get any nowadays?

I recently came across Iron Harvest on Steam. that very much resembles the controls and mechanics of Soldiers. It's 21/08/2022 and I must admit I haven't played Soldiers since at least 2006. My memories are faded. The full game is currently free to play on a Steam free Weekend. Iron Harvest downloads 13Gb and requires 30Gb disk space.

Thank you for the info Shambler! I will check those out. Another query, if I may....I just came across Silent Heroes Elite Troops DVD ROM I forgot about. I know this was a sequel, but wonder if I can load it into my Steam folder as a Mod.....thoughts?

There is a new title down the pipeline from the original developers of GEM-engine-based games, BestWay. BestWay had developed Soldiers Heroes of World War II, Faces or War, and Men of War 2009. Now, they are working on Men of War II with lots of new features and a new engine. It benefits from a 64bit engine capable of multi-core processing and multithreading. It has a new sound system and supports 4K resolutions natively with proper scaling. Men of War II has been built on "GEM RTS, the youngest member of the GEM engines family. This engine has never been used by any game except Men of War II.
