EDIT:
I solve the problem. I found folder with exe file of the game and i set compatibility section. Then it works ok.
What exactly did you set the compatibility to?
I have the same problem.
To run on Win 10, go to the game folder, right-click on Soldiers.exe and select "fix compatibility problems" (the third one from the top), then select the diagnostics manually and set compatibility with Win XP sp3, save. (Google translator)
I thought I got it cheap at 1.39 - it's 0.99 today!
