Does it run okay in Windows 10?

Hello. I have a problem with run this game on win10... On start i have error, and game will be terminated.. sthg like that... i dont know how to fix it...
EDIT:
I solve the problem. I found folder with exe file of the game and i set compatibility section. Then it works ok.

What exactly did you set the compatibility to?

Для запуска на Win 10 заходите в папку с игрой, нажимаете правой кнопкой на Soldiers.exe и выбираете "исправление проблем с совместимостью" (третий сверху), потом выбираете диагностику в ручную и ставите совместимость с Win XP sp3, сохраняете.
To run on Win 10, go to the game folder, right-click on Soldiers.exe and select "fix compatibility problems" (the third one from the top), then select the diagnostics manually and set compatibility with Win XP sp3, save. (Google translator)

In the end I bought it on sale from GOG for $1.39 and it seems to run fine as-is so far.

Really depends on the day tbh, I played this game for years and sometime it will work flawlessly for months and they other times a windows update will break it for a couple of days. I think it's worth a buy too.

same problem here, tried to launch the game twice and twice it closed down with an error message : program will be terminated... I must say I just downloaded the latest W10 security patches so that could be the reason why...

Did you run it in compatibility mode? That's how you solve that problem.

My GOG installation is still holding up (I shouldn't speak too soon...). I never see the 1C and NVidia screens when it starts but then the Soldiers screen loads and it's fine.
I thought I got it cheap at 1.39 - it's 0.99 today!

The only solution for this that I've found is set the desktop resolution to full HD (1920x1080) and then run the game.
