There shouldn't be any input lag added by the emulator, but it will naturally bring other artifacts since these games were never intended to be adapted into 3D or VR. Give it a try!
Good, I just wanted to be sure. Sometimes when you render something in a way that isn't intended, input lag can be a thing depending on the way it was implemented. Just wanted to make sure it was a fully functional emulator WITH a gimmick and not a gimmick first. The input lag is important for me because I still need to reach those spot I want to see "3D Mode" and some of those games are no joke. XD
And if the speculation part was refering to me asking people about that at all. There is nothing wrong to ask questions to people who owns the darn thing.
One thing to consider, this isn't just changing pixels into voxels. You can also manipulate the camera in 3D. for some games that's an entirely different experience. My favorite cases are Spy Hunter and Pinball. Spy Hunter in 3D with a 3rd person view is pretty awesome. Pinball has a really nice depth to the table parts, and you can change it's view to feel a bit more realistic instead of just straight up and down.
As for a "fully functional emulator" and input lag, there isn't much to worry about. It's a comparable experience with other emulators, and you can run any game in 2D (exceptions being some games that do not have mapper support in this emulator, but that isn't a unique problem to 3DSen). I haven't had a major input lag problems across multiple PCs.
Personally, I'd still rather run my games that don't have a 3D profile here in another emulator unless they could benefit from the camera angle manipulation. This is a great emulator, but it isn't feature loaded like RetroArch by any means.
