Steam required...?

Does this require me to be logged into steam or can I run this once purchased outside of steam?

3dSen works outside Steam, at least on Linux.

That is great news. I run Manjaro for all but a handful of games now, launchbox on my win2 handheld. It looks good but how is the emulation, is it good?

Emulation is quite accurate, yes. Definitely works best when used for its original purpose, using the 3D profiles.

I'm also curious about this myself, but for Windows. Depending on the answers I'm willing to purchase this.

Said questions being, first:
If I were to move downloaded files somewhere else other than Steam's default game folder and run it, would it still prompt Steam first before I get to use 3dSen?

And second: Would I still be able to run it if I decide not to sign into Steam but directly run the executable?

Windows version requires Steam currently.

Currently Windows build requires Steam - Mac and Linux builds don't.
