Mini & Max Backpack Disappearing Items

It seems there's a (hopefully it's a) bug with the backpack and storing items. In short, if you have an item in your backpack when closing the game, the item will be deleted. The first time it happened to me, I had the Mol Dok tablet in my backpack and I closed the game without finding the delivery location. Upon opening it again, the Mol Dok tablet is gone. Unfortunately, it also hasn't respawned anywhere, and it's not for sale at the shop any longer.

This led me to test if the same bug happens all the time, and I think it does. I hopped in, stored a piece of lint/carpet in the backpack, and exited the game. Loading it up, the item was also deleted out of the backpack. Obviously this isn't a big deal for items that respawn, but for certain items like the Mol Dok tablet, it's a one and done.

So, it seems there are two solutions to this. Either the backpack can save the item stored between sessions, or quest items should always respawn upon reloading the game (assuming they're not delivered). Hopefully it's not too much trouble to implement a fix, and thanks for the amazing game!

Hi, this is a bug. It's supposed to save items in your backpack but an unintentional problem was introduced in the last patch. Working on fixing it now.

In the meantime, you should be able to get the Mol Dok tablet to reappear in the world by putting any unimportant item in your backpack (like a random block), returning to full size, quitting the game, and reopening it.

Yes, that made the tablet reappear in the shop! Thanks for the quick fix :)

This fix also worked for me when Max had seemingly disappeared from the game entirely (I had him stored in my backpack.) Thank you!
