UFO 50

What do you guys want from a ufo 50 sequel?
I hope we get another series of games based on early 3d like the ps1 and get callbacks to some of the big genres of that era like fixed angle survival horror. Corridor shooters, arcade space fighting games. And other just fun reflections of a time when people were still trying to understand 3d space

UFO 50 reminds of the nes and super nes era where the devs understood 2d gaming and were trying to make it perfect while the ps1 era was expert devs making things up as they went along. Would love to see that

If there were a successor to UFO 50 (either by the same people or another group of developers) I think the PS1 angle would make the most sense, given the Net Yaroze kit[en.wikipedia.org] would make for a great source to take inspiration from for a framing device.

Instead of 50 SNES or NES era games maybe like 20-25ish ps1 or n64 era games. Enough to give us some variety without overwhelming the developers. Some survival horror, platformers, maybe a racing game their version of Mario Kart 64 etc. More Easter Eggs and meta story content. A little bit more to weave them all together in the meta narrative.

I feel like the next game does not need to go as wide as long as they maintain quality and stay deep.

Although, if they just wanted to do a DLC and add another 10-20 games to UFO 50 I'd be overjoyed.

Personally - I just want another 50 games from the 90s :)

Another 6 years to cook would be a good idea.

I would be more than happy with a DLC adding another 10-20 discs to the collection. Or maybe they could do a "handheld" console similar to something like a Gameboy.

I dont want or need a sequal, but would love dlc or patches that added more content to each individual game, so that eventually, each one becomes even better, fuller game.

You get 50 games and in the same year talk about what you want in a sequel. I don't want and am not even thinking about a sequel.

why even participate in the conversation, very confusing of you to do.

I'd like to see more of the "lore" of a company develop. I enjoyed reading about how each game had new innovations, experiments and mechanics but it would be cool to see it actually progress over time. As in, watching them "learn from their mistakes" so to speak.

I would be fine with this too but I am enjoying the early 3d nostalgia we are seeing with games like signalis and would love a collection based on that style.

UFO 6+4. 10 full length PS1/N64 style games, ala MGS1, FF7, Super Mario 64.

3D would actually be more viable than more advanced 2D games, because increase the artistic detail and/or scope of a collection like this would mean it would take 10 years to develop. I think an early 3D/low poly style collection could be created faster.

Thing is I don't know if that's something Mossmouth could do well, they make 2D games. And I'd rather see the UFO 50 titles get expanded into full releases with added features.
