Coming to Switch?
Does anyone know if or when this game is supposed to come to Switch?

I've been keeping my eye on this game and so far I'm loving what I'm seeing and am very excited, problem being is that I want to share the experience with my girlfriend, especially given all the 2P modes. Therefore I'm hoping to wait till it comes out on Switch to play since that's a much better experience for multiplayer rather than sitting around my PC.

There is no news about a Switch port at this time. It's very possible it will come to Switch, but don't hold your breath for it. For what it's worth, the games have been extensively playtested for the Steam Deck and people are saying it runs great on it, if you want a handheld experience.

This game collection was made in Game Maker, which is PC-native. I realize that modern consoles are approaching the realm of basic PCs (if they aren't already there), but I'm not sure any console supports Game Maker or other -Maker-made games. I'd be happy to be wrong (please inform me if so), but, the conversion process would involve recoding all of the games from scratch!

GameMaker has had console support for years now.

IIRC so were the Spelunky games and both are on Switch. I'd say it's only a matter of time, this game is a no-brainer for the Switch with the 2 Joycons for co-op.

Oh definitely. I'd buy it on Switch in a heartbeat. Sometimes, you just have to double dip. Here's hoping we get news of a console port sooner or later!

Yeah, it's only a matter of time. Derek's games tend to be exclusive to one platform for a year or so and then make their way to other places. It will almost certainly happen (I mean come on, imagine how many copies they'll sell on Switch), but probably not anytime soon.

There's no way this won't come out on Switch. If it had flopped, maybe not, but it's been a tremendous success. It should release on all modern platforms in 2025, but it might not be until the end of 2025.

How dare people suggest using an open piece of hardware you can do whatever you want with instead of nintendo's crap tablet.

Arguably, the Deck is more economical since you can play games you already own on it instead of having to buy an additional Switch copy of the games.

You buy a Switch to play games. Being open hardware gets in the way of playing games on the Steam Deck because there is no protection against cheating and piracy. (Also it cannot download games while in standby so the Downloads screen is guaranteed to burn into your OLED).

"use worse hardware because I'm afraid of cheaters in single player games!"

Also, piracy has nothing to do with it as piracy is rampant on switch and has been for years.

Cool failure of a point.

Or you could use desktop mode to download.

It's almost like you don't know anything about the steamdeck and are just looking for stupid excuses.
I would really like this on my new Atari VCS 800 console, and the Switch for that physicality!
