How do I use items in Barbuta??
Anyone figure this out yet? Am I just dumb? I have the Umbrella and the Pin and have no idea what to do with them. Do I just bring them somewhere or do they boost my abilities in some way?

Okay, with some more experimentation, it seems like Pin lets me pop the bubbles. I don't think I could do that before. So maybe they are passive bonuses? Not sure what the umbrella does still.
The umbrella stops acid from killing you (because it drips from above).

Hi, the umbrella protects you from the falling green stuff. Now, I need to understand what the "trash" is for.

Oh good call with the umbrella! I've also gotten the key and the trash but can't find anything for them either. I'll keep looking.

Like others have said, you don't 'use' them, they just alter your characters properties in some way when you have them.

The one thing I've found that you haven't mentioned here, is the wand. It lets you shoot a projectile, but I haven't found a use case for it either, other than that it makes it easier to kill enemies! That's where I'm dead ended at the moment!

Is it possible that you shoot that one switch in the long drop near the bottom left of the map?

No, the wand's magic doesn't activate switches.
Trash and candy do nothing as far as i can tell. You also don't need to buy anything, as you can find the pin after getting the necklace and you get the umbrella often first once you know where it is. The only thing I didn't like was the invisible ladder (NOT AT ALL REQUIRED, but needed to get to that unreachable switch) that has no markings to hint its there or that you can use it to climb through the ceiling. All the other secrets seem pretty fair once you figure them out or learn about them.

Candy makes you climb ladders faster, you need it if you want to go (from spawn) Right Down Right Up Up.

If you've been making a map/keeping track of rooms, the hint for the invisible ladder is that the room above has a ladder entrance that there's no visible ladder for.
