UFO 50

Consoles?
I’ve wanted this since it was first announced, but my pc is kind of dying, and I don’t want to double dip. I’d love to play it on console. No word?

Get a Steam Deck. No point in owning a console anymore except maybe a Switch (if you don't want to mess with Switch emulation).

This seems better suited for consoles that lack emulators of older games which this collection is based on

I'd recommend a Steam Deck as well. The game runs great on it, and since you can use your Steam Deck in docked mode (connected to a large display and extra controllers) it is basically the perfect console. Relatively cheap too.

Since you already own more than 1100 games on Steam, what was your idea with those if you were going to ditch PC gaming? The chances of all your games being ported to a different platform are quite slim.

My pc is dead, and I don’t have the money for a steam deck and no desire to buy one. Just have an ancient laptop now, which will run many of my old Steam games (that I’ll never play)

Thanks for the toxic asf inquisition. Good god. What a lovely community.

Thank you for actually answering OP's question.

OP, steam discussions is full of people that spend way too much time on the internet. You don't need to justify yourself to anyone here. Hopefully you'll be able to enjoy this amazing game soon.

Steam Deck's dpad isn't very good for retro gaming. With the Switch at least you get options for 3rd party joycons.

On that note... does anyone happen to know if Game Maker-ported games have Switch Pro Controller (or other controller) support?

Some games don't have support that I've played, like SaGa Frontier (which is the Unity engine).

:P thank you! I did realize after the fact that asking on a Steam forum whether a game was coming to console, was probably going to get the wrong demographic. I'm just used to console-oriented stuff, where people are constantly like "is this coming to PC??" and no one bats an eye.

I ended up running it on my crappy laptop for now, and it runs great! But I'll definitely double-dip for the console release. Love this stuff.

Huh? There lots of 3rd party options for deck. Saying Steam Deck dpad isn’t very good for retro games by saying a different consoles 3rd party controller work is a strange argument. You can easily find an 8bitdo NES controller that works with both switch and deck.

Outside of… that? Yeah I mean ufo 50 should be on as many consoles as possible now that the pc version is done. So long as the work can make some extra profit. Sure why not.

Eh I remember gamefaqs folks getting mad at “when PC?”. But glad you can run it, and in an alt reality, glad you will be able to play it on consoles.
