Blaster stunlocking is really reliable.
I still think doing more damage to him with the yo-yo is more effective in my experience.
I didn't really like the idle gaming aspect but overall liked the game.
The gameplay is deceptively challenging, but undemanding and it's just too bad it isn't longer. (You barely have to idle at all by the way, you usually make better progress by playing.) The cherry is honestly one of the most interesting in the collection to discover and solve.
The fact the exterior map is randomized made my second play through more interesting because the forest went from "Explore here" to "You do not have to enter this area because nothing of value exists here" was the best part of Pilot Quest IMO.
Being 1 game out of 50 makes it okay in my book, but it is certainly not a title I would ever revisit given its lack of design ambition.
