The recently-released Beyond Shadowgate is also based on those games, being a sequel to the MacVenture game Shadowgate.
If you're looking for old-style graphical adventure games in general, you might also enjoy The Crimson Diamond, which is based more on the first Laura Bow game.
You might also enjoy Heroine's Quest: The Herald of Ragnarok, though it is based more on Quest for Glory. It's free, so it's worth a try to see if you like that sort of game.
I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream is another classic of the point-and-click adventure genre.
Many other games in this genre are so old that they are not on Steam; generally they are for older systems like the original NES, which will require emulation. The original Portopia Murder Case[www.romhacking.net] is great, say; the version on Steam is unfortunately broken in the sense that the experimental AI they tried to use for it just doesn't work, but there's a translation patch for the old NES version.
Other NES games you might want to try include Jesus: Tale of the Dreadful Bio-Monster (yes, that's its name), Metal Slader Glory, and Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom.
The way the serial killer works is also inspired by Clock Tower[aeongenesis.net]; the original SNES one in particular. Again, it'll require a translation patch and emulation to play today.
Thanks for the link
Thanks

The're quite similar, 'first person' point & clicky with creepy vibes.
All of them are available on Steam for free.
Also a few more that fit the bill, but I haven't played myself yet (on my wishlist):

It should be said that many classic point and click adventures, namely the Monkey Island series, are notorious for their difficult, sometimes extremely non-sensical solutions/puzzles.
My experience with Night Manor was the opposite. Except for 1 thing, I was able to complete everything without having to pull up a guide.
That's funny, I used a different method:
I'm pretty sure I opened the egg on the vice, which was my first logical thought, actually I was thinking vice + wrench, but vice was enough. That means there are multiple solutions, that's interesting.
So the thing I had to look up was the PC password. I don't remember reading any hints about that? I guess it hindsight it kinda makes sense to use a magnifying glass on the miniature house.

Lastly you have your Myst/Riven games and your detective/mystery games such as the Tex Murphy, Gabriel Knight and Broken Sword series.
By the way, some of these games are much better enjoyed using ScummVM instead of DOSBox. You can grab the latest version over at:
