Game Mechanics the game don't explain, but I wish they would
After playing through a decent amount of the games, I would like to comprise a list of things I wish the games would explain. You can, of course, add your own or explain, if you figured something out.

Barbuta
1. WTH is the goal? What does the dot on the map indicate?

Ninpek
1. I don't get at all what the conditions are for extra-life-balloons appearing. Is it points, kills, random?
2. Same question about sandwiches appearing

Rock on Island
1. What are the properties of different Unit-types? I never figured out what advantages Rocks and Spears have, so never built them at some point in favor of more obvious types like Wheels, Tar, Fire, Arrow
2. How much does a fire-pile boost a Unit?

Quibble Race
1. How to know how many races a Quibble has left before retirement? The game tells the number of wins/total races but is there a fixed amount of races for each Quibble?
2. If you sponsored Quibble wins, do you get a percentage of the price money as bonus or is it a fixed amount?

Star Waspir
1. You can collect "E" and "G" letters. Now I assume you only get a weapon/ship upgrade when collecting 3 of one letter, is that correct? First I thought you had to spell "EGG" since so many things are Egg related in these games (for some reason)
2. How does collecting 3 "E"s or 3 "G"s differ?

Elfzar's Hat
1. Similar question as with Star Waspir, do you only get an upgrade when collecting 3 of the same card or are there combinations?

Overall
1. Is there any way to find out what the Cherry condition was, after you achieved it? In at least 2 cases I got cherry same time as gold and since Cherry condiition can only be checked after gold has been achieved, it was impossible to figure out why I got cherry...

Barbuta
- The goal is mentioned in the description of the game on the collection menu, but also "play until you find the credits" is sort of a goal.
- If you want to know what the dot is, get it in the same room as you.

Ninpek
- Extra lives spawn on hitting certain point thresholds.
- Sandwiches spawn from touching invisible triggers.

Rock On Island
- Go into a level and build the different unit types and see how fast they attack and what damage they do. It should be clear what's good about each.
- I'll give you the fire boost one, it's not clear. It's a vague percentage boost so it's better for big damage units.

Quibble Race
- I actually don't know about retirement, I haven't seen it much. Might be when a Quibble hits double digits? Or maybe just when the games nearly over.
- I'm pretty sure the sponsor bonus is a fixed amount. Write down every time you see it and you can see if it's the same.

Star Waspir
- Just collect the letters in different orders and see what happens, it's pretty obvious. If it helps there's only three different combos, and you named them all.

Elfazar's Hat
- The items work by giving you something after you get three items. If you have two of the same symbol you get a small power up, if you have three you get a big one.

Overall
- No. Sorry.
As a side note, most of your issues here can be solved with experimentation. If you don't know what something does in a game, feel free to try random things and see what happens, you can always reset and try again. Learning is part of the fun.

If you really want to know what led you to get a cherry you already have, there is a guide that lists what all of the gift/gold/cherry requirements are.

With the reqs spoilered earlier, and not spoilered later, so if you just want to know specific ones, don't scroll down too far.

There are 4 combos in Waspir. EGG is the most important one since it boosts your score multiplier which you need to get lives. There's GEE, which you guys missed, that is I think a short character specific attack. Forgot what GGG and EEE do though

For quibble race ive never heard about retirement. Quibbles can die though and it's kinda easy to notice.
Sponsor bonus is always 500.

weirdly I've only ever seen quibbles retire and not die. i've only seen them die in other people's playthroughs lol

I loved seeing that dot in the barbuta map and being like "wait, what is that, it moves" and trying to chase it down and then going "NOPE"

I'm pretty sure they only die when poisoned, but then it seems to be guaranteed death then (try it out by posioning one yourself).

No clue, how to know how much races they have left before retireing... you actually only notice that for Quibbles you sponsored and try to train...

right, it isn't actually that complicated. Though it took a while for me to notice, that wrong combinations actually punish you by reseting the multiplier....

Yeah, after playing a whole lot more, a lot can be figured out, but for example, I never understood the meaning of potion color in Magic Garden, despite cherrying it... kinda suspected it would be more potent when waiting longer before taking it and it would be more potent when getting a higher chain of red slime, but was never sure about that.

Also in Campanella 2 there is an item where no one appears to have figured out what its good for and it is just getting annoying collecting it randomly over and over again and tryiing to notice any difference...

I dunno, there is fun in exploring and finding out stuff, but really, if they explained each of my points, would there be any less enjoyment to any of these games? A one-pager with a very quick overview would be more than enough. It doesn't have to pull a "Zelda-Skyward Sword" ;-)
