Math can be done to figure out good targets you can reach in the time you want to run them. Doing that math yourself is very cumbersome.
Fortunately, the gear optimizer has a hackday planner[gmiclotte.github.io] that does the math for you. Takes some time to set it all up, but it gets easier to use once you've done a couple.
Sayo's guide has a section[sayolove.github.io] on setting it up.
The biggest hangup some people have is understanding the "current" and "dedicated" parts. Current is what you have equipped (and active pots) at the time you entered the numbers at the top. Dedicated is what you WILL BE using during the hackday. GO will adjust the numbers in its calculations to account for the change.
If you're using the mods, there are 3 bookmarklets that help with the planner:
1) sends currently equipped gear to a loadout slot in GO named current - make sure you already have that slot, the bookmarklet doesn't create it
2) sends current hack stats to GO - all the numbers at the top of the planner and the hack levels/reducers.
3) (after done with planner) copies the hack targets from GO to the game - sets all the hack targets to be what's in the planner
edit: I know this doesn't really help you now, it's too late, but you can use this for future hackdays
