Do I filter out all the MacGuffin drops?

With all the bonuses (without the wish) they drop at lvl 2 minimum from zone/itopod, you need a lot of kills to even drop them and after you get access to Blood Magic, DayCare, Yggdrasil it feels like the latter kind of grow a lot, whether the original method of them dropping is very weak. Nobody is gonna waste time with max Respawn in certain Area trying to farm them, right? You gotta be doing ITOPOD, and in itopod the fastest you can get them is 1800 kills

Like, maybe after doing 5 wishes you can drop them at a reasonable rate but at that stage of the game you are gonna have good Ygg Macguffin A and B dropping a lot of levels

They just take so much space in the inventory and as you don't really have all the ap in the world to purchase all the slots, just sit there and I have to manually merge them together any time some drop just to clean out the inventory

Do you guys just filter them out permanently or drops in Itopod (with lvl 5 wish) are still good?

Why would you filter them out?
Sure, they don't drop that often but it's not like they are taking up much space in your inventory either.
Most of the time you are not farming for them but even if you only get a few every now and then it's better than none.

My point is that there is nothing beneficial about filtering them out.

I never felt the need to filter them.

I mean.. free daily (my rebirth cycle) stat boosts that grow slightly larger with each drop, automerge if they're equipped? That's a great deal.

Look at it this way:
1 slot is 225k, which is going to average 2 weeks or less for each one. Which helps reduce the inventory space you need and gives you another bonus that grows daily. That's a BARGAIN in the long run.

It's just that I only have 5 slots, which means most of them I have to manully merge together as my automerge slots are also taken by important stuff. They are a nuisance and if later in the game you get so many levels on them anyway, why even need to do them manually unless you need extra copies (1 for equip, another for daycare)

You can buy a lot in the store, even if they are insanely expensive.
I only managed to a buy a few thanks to not playing this game once for literally 365 days. :P

The PP costing MacGuffin Slot shouldn't be too expensive.
And there should be a few others.

Maybe you could try the Tier 2 of Evil Troll Challenge for an additional MacGuffin slot.
I did the first one not that long after getting to the Greasy Nerd.

It shouldn't be a major task to merge all of your MacGuffins anyway. With the right setup, it takes like 15 seconds to merge them all, once per hour:

Put all of your unequipped Macguffins right together in the inventory. Now, once per hour (just after killing the Titans), you go to equipped MacGuffins, hold D, and click each one. Those are merged. Swap to the page with your unequipped pool, and repeat on them. 22 clicks per hour, and you're done.

Maybe we should be asking "about how much free inventory space do you have immediately after cleaning up everything?", since where you are at, I could clean up drops every 2-3 hours (including MacGuffins)
