Can you lock yourself out of the 24 hour challenge?
[resolved]

So in theory,

The game mechanics question is this: will there be no chance to unlock the 24 hour challenge if you took longer than 24 hours for each completion of the basic challenge?

It's still taking a day or two for basic completions (at 3/5). I understand I should wait, but I wanted to do them anyway. If it takes me longer than 24 hours for the 4/5 and 5/5 completions, is that it? Can I no longer run a basic challenge to unlock the 24 hour challenge set?

There is no reward for doing so but you can still do that to unlock the 24h challenge.

That being said, it might be better for you to wait a bit before finishing the basic challenge if they still take that long to clear, progressing through the adventure zones should be your priority and the reward from the challenge is only needed from mega land and up.
At that time your equipment and invested exp will allow you to clear the challenge significantly faster than 24 hours as well.

That answers it neatly, thanks.

Yeah I know I should wait, but I'm extremely afk or offline with these games so the difference in completion time between 5 hours and 50 doesn't really seem that long.

Even 5 hours is really long for basic challenge

For sure, I've gathered as much from other threads on challenges I was looking for an answer in before posting this. Anyway, I'm still early into the game, so it's not something I minded running for the first three completions in the background while I'm doing something else 99.9% of the time.
