Seed amount problem.

I am in evil since some weeks. I got Watermelon fruit level 9, I use poop on it, and I always put my seed gain items whenever I eat/harvest fruits.

Yesterday, i had for the first time more than 1 million seeds with watermelon.
1 100 000 something like that. And 5 minutes ago, I had around 790 000.

It's not the first time I see that kind of thing, I never understood why, but today it bothers me a lot. I was happy to have another million seeds with this watermelon, and not at all, not even 800 000.

I really don't understand why.

If they were fully grown both times, maybe you have the "first harvest's the best" perk from itopod.
It boosts the first harvest of each fruit in each rebirth so it sounds fairly close to what you saw if you didn't rebirth between the two.

Yes, I said in my first post "Yesterday I had more than 1 million", but it was in fact today at 1 am, just before go to sleep.

It's interesting to make me realize that because I usually do runs of 5 days during weeks.
And I do runs of 24h or 48h during week-ends.
I never though that I was loosing a lot of seeds that way.

Hum i will reconsider 24h runs, or at least 48h during weeks too.

You're losing more than just extra seeds. That perk boosts what you get from eating fruits too. So you may be losing 50% extra exp, AP, PP, etc.

Oh yes... I didn't realize all that.
I use the button "Harvest/Eat all max tier fruit", so I don't really see what all fruits give me.
I saw it on the watermelon because I harvest it more often since it is level 9.

If you're interested in that information, you can look at the tooltip log (under info 'n stuff) to see what all you got. That log doesn't keep very much of a history, so you'll need to check it right after harvest/eat all and before you do anything else.

Another thing: Did you know XP and PP digger influence how much you get from fruits? Similarly disabling all your diggers increases harvest from the Fruit of Gold. I do 24 hour rebirths and my routine is: Equipping Seed and Yield Gear, disabling all diggers, eating Fruit of Gold, leveling some diggers if possible, activating PP digger at max possible level and eating all fruits on the second (and third) page, disabling PP digger and enabling XP digger. A routine really helps with not forgetting anything.

I don't think that's true. Looking at the code, it uses gross gps, not net.

Well, I don't know the code, but when I eat the fruit with diggers taking up most net gps, I get less geld. When I remove all diggers the fruit gives me more gold.

Are you sure the difference isn't from the various GPS modifiers that go up over time? Or maybe you used poop on one, but not the other? Different fruit tier? First Harvest perk bonus on one but not the other?

I mean, it's hard to argue against what the code is doing, so I'm trying to think of what (other than diggers on or off) would change how much you get. It's possible you're misinterpreting your observations. No offense.

Should be relatively easy to test. Turn off anything that constantly increases GPS as it runs (blood magic, ngu, beard, etc), save, eat FoG with diggers running, load, clear diggers, eat again, compare numbers.

Or you can also try doing the math yourself. The wiki[ngu-idle.fandom.com] gives the formula that determines how many minutes of GPS you get. Use that number of minutes against gross and net, then eat the fruit with diggers on and see which one you get.

Assuming you care enough to find out for sure. If not, then, well, this is just a waste of text. :)

Personally, I'd like to know if the code I was referring to that uses gross gps, is the code that gets executed when eating FoG. There is a lot of code that's not used, fruits have of a bunch of old code that's not used, so it's possible. So I wrote a quick mod that logs when that piece of code is executed, then ate the fruit, and it was.

I also did the test I suggested (turned off counterfeit gold blood spell, ngu time machine, gold beard) and got the same amount of gold with and without diggers running.

Sorry, but I'm convinced eating FoG uses gross GPS, not net.
