How to consume "A cumpled Note"

Got a crumpled note from presumably "the beast" prologue. Ctrl-click doesn't consume it, it just tosses it into the trash. I see there are instructions. Do I just keep it in my inventory or is tossing it the right move?

It's from the enemy that replaces the beast before you unlock it, with instrtuctions on what to do to be able to fight the real titan.

You don't consume it, instead you do what is written on it in the right order.
It will give you a special item each which is the hint you need for the final step.

There is always the wiki if you want spoilers on what to do.
