MoneyPit Levels

I feel dumb but the more I read the comments and the wiki the less I understand the MoneyPit Leveling. I am in the game for a few weeks now. My Wandoos 98 lvl is on 34, I reached the 3rd Titan today but the one thing I can't understand is "how the hell can I upgrade the Money Pit?".
To my excuse - I am not an english native speaker. As far as I understood the MoneyPit increases levels automatically when you throw enought money in it, right?
I threw 3e18 in the Pit but nothing happens ... i mean beside "you gain +100 Toughness units! Or just Toughness, whatever you prefer."
My Money Pit Level is still 1/100.

So what am I doing wrong? Any ideas?

You get 1 random reward for throwing money in the pit. A +100 adventure stat is one of the rewards for throwing in 1e18 to 9.999e20. Wandoos pit levels are also a random reward from throwing money in. You just have to keep throwing money in to get random rewards.

The random rewards you can get are Adventure stats, a boost, Adventure max HP increase, Adventure HP regen, +1 level to worn or daycare equipment, Exp, wandoos pit level, or seeds.

You only get 1 of these rewards randomly each time you throw money in. The amount of gold determines the amount of the reward.

You won't be able to get Wandoos pit 100/100 until you unlock Wishes later on.

Yes. It's a random chance. That's all.

Nonsense. I got it to 100/100 a long time before that.

Calm yourself. If you don't already have 100/100, the wish will make it 100/100.
