Save File Issue
I just had to shut down my computer and I saved my file beforehand. Now, the game doesn't let me load the save file, and the steam cloud was broken ages ago. At this point in time, I have thousands of hours lost. so i did a little deep diving into the issue. As I can see, the save file, which I have used the name 1, is in a file in the C drive. I use a D drive for all my data. How can I go about changing the directory to read from D instead of C?

pretty much use the way you saved it. But one way is clicking the address/path and type what ever directory you want

You only have a single manual save file?
By default it names them so that they are all kept so if you did a save at least once every day you shouldn't lose much even if one file is not working correctly.

You can't change the place for the auto saves as far as I know but you can definitely save and load manually anywhere else, including another drive if you want to.

hey, not really the same issue, but my antivirus just detected Backdoor:Win32/Bladabindi!ml on NGUSaveSteam.txt, ive read it might just be a false positive, anyone else got this recently? I've been playing since October 2020 and never had any trouble before

Probably a false positive but if you do your manual saves frequently enough it shouldn't matter, at worse you lose about a day of progress (not even completely since there is offline progress) by opting to be safe and let your AV deal with that file.

yea i removed it already and ran a full scan, i really just hope its all just a false positive, i don't know what i could have done wrong to get anything, im pretty safe all the time

it's Infinite monkey theorem at this point. Given the smallest very dangerous code is as small as a single jmp where it shouldn't be. And given the amount data processed any random data will eventually span a positive signature.
