First "Challenge"
After seeing "Fastest Completion Time" as 24,855 days, I had to look that up.

24,855 Days = 68 years

So... Someone managed to start this challenge in 1952? I'm betting NGU Idle's Dev wasn't born yet.

Anyways, case anyone was curious, lol.

That is the default information show to those who did not complete yet. After first completion, it will show your time correct, mine for example is 3 days 20:24:15

Play for a day or two, you'll beable to knock that first challenge out in less then 24 hours, then do the 24 hour challenge.

sorry if this is a necro or semi offtopic

but ive stayed away from challenges due to hearing that if I start one ... my main game resets totally...upon returning after the challenge..

IS this true??
I mean if so thats kinda insane, one seed takes doing a challenge, but im so afraid I will lose friggen everything just to unlock what we need to

seems that the challenge itself should reset the game, only for that challenge and upon return all should be back as u left it... no??

please let me know as its hindering my progression in this game drastically

not really. It only resets the number (and few other temporary things like banks and such) and during the challenge it imposes some restriction until challenge goal is met or challenge is exited.

Your progress will remain, during and after the challenge. Considering your progress is made from XP gain, gear, NGU's, perks, and everything else that is "permanent".

Keep in mind that completing/quiting challenge will leave you at the current state (AKA it's not reverted to anything). (You may use save/load if you start a challenge and see within 30minutes that it's completely out of your league. But you usually don't as you do challenges only when you are reasonably sure you can do at least one.)

The fear comes from misunderstanding that number is your progress here. It isn't. Your power/magic and gear is at the pre-early game. You will get your number back in no time.

I recently did the first basic challenge, after beating the 2nd titan just a few times (so you can get a relative idea of my game's progress in NGU, Yggsil, Wandoos, etc).

I can say that I have a small regret for doing it. It took 8 hours to finish, and then about 20 hours to return back to where I was prior to do that challenge.

I learned all this because I was more eager to return back to adventuring and getting more quest gear, than to maybe try the 24 hour challenge or another basic challenge. (Finishing the basic challenge in 8 hours also means it would have been no problem to finish the first 24-hour challenge, but I didn't do that)

So I would suggest the following: either don't do the basic challenge yet, so you can keep going forward from where you are in adventure mode. Or do it, but then do a 24 hour challenge also, and then do another 1 or more basic challenges if you wanted to, before going back to adventure progress.

You definitely do not want to be doing basic challenge, adventure, decide back to basic challenge, then again back to adventuring, etc.

You'll get lots of boss exp, sure, but you may feel like you're not progressing up the adventure zones.

And finally, another suggestion is that you can do it later when you will finish basic challenges faster, but the bonuses that they provide, may be less important to you at that time.

I can say that having done just one basic challenge, I'm not yet hurting for stats, so no need to finish all of them. And I do regret not doing at least 1 of the 24-hour challenge while my number was still relatively low, because I'm missing out on all the +1 exp for beating up bosses. Again, this early time is when exp still matters and is nice to get, compared to later when you may breeze through the challenges but that exp isn't as important anymore.

So decide what you may like to do .

As for OP's comment, that "hours" listed is just a very large number for the game to start off with, but chances are you'll best it just fine in a few hours, or a few days, depending on how you play.
