ETA: Blood? Wtf do you have in a blood loadout?
My usual run is to start with Augments until I hit those numbers, then move to blood until I exceed my previous run's number, then to Wandoos for that boost, then to whatever I want to work on for that session - ngu, hacks, wishes, or power if I'm farming a new zone for gear.
You still need a gold drop loadout.
Also I forgot but you should have a quest drop/respawn loadout too, if you do manual quests at all.
NGU
Hacks
Wishes
Yggdrasil
And if you really need it, drop chance but you can easily squeeze your best one in other loadouts anyway.
That's all I ever needed, I even combined NGU and Hacks most of the time (slightly worse but not by a large amount due to the amount of available accessory slots).
(I didn't either)
The main reason I didn't go for hack days and went for NGU+Hacks instead was because I saw no purpose for wishes without a lot of energy and magic, but when I was running NGUs I needed those so hacks were just a good place to dump my resource 3.
Thanks all for the suggestion of the gold loadout. I think my next step needs to be learning a better order to run loadouts at the start of a rebirth. If there's a guide to that type of thing, I'd appreciate it if someone could point me in that direction. I'm mainly self-taught on this, with an occasional question when I feel something isn't working right.
since you're in sadistic now, blood has lost a lot of its usefulness, and it will pretty much never be especially helpful again (even when you can bb all rituals).
with gold drops, you'll basically want to use it twice. once at the beginning of a rebirth, and then again at 1 hr when you autokill titans (because they tend to have the biggest natural gold drop).
Unless I'm farming gear, my time is usually spent in the ITOPD building up perk points. Should I be in adventure mode for regular gold drops from kills instead?
So I have the typical
1) Power/Toughness to try to get higher Adventure stats to push into some zone or tower level,
2) Gold Loadout just for the first few minutes of a new rebirth and when I'm killing Titans ast the 1-hour mark or 2-hour mark if I missed the first hour,
3) NGU Loadout for when I'm not pushing Adventure stats and I just want to sit through the entire rebirth just dealing with the best NGU % I can get, though this has kind of rolled into the Respawn/Power/Toughness loadout because "good enough, I'll just go up slowly".
4) Yggdrasil / Seeds loadout , used just at the end of the rebirth or if I'm doing multiple days, then around every 23 hours
5) Respawn Loadout, which now has become my Respawn/Power/Toughness loadout -- at least, as much as I care about not maxing each one of them and just saying "good enough, I'll just go up slowly"
I thought I might add a Cooking loadout but in the end, I've been with this game for a long time and it doesn't matter as much to me anymore if I get 100% cooking or 75% cooking every day. Heck, some days I don't even eat because I just want to get on and do a quick rebirth and then get off.
So I'll just keep cooking inefficiently and eating and have the numbers go up slowly.
You probably noticed a theme here. As much as I wanted to progress faster at the beginning of the game, now I'm here in Sadistic mode, and I'm just enjoying the game without having to be "best" at everything the game offers to me.
That's how I ended up finishing the game since I was getting very bored of it then I switched to NGU industries instead and only came back after the cooking update with everything pretty much maxed.
Just make sure to set your energy and magic on NGU (with a large surplus if possibe) to maximize the gains.
