Do I have to keep the Ring of Apathy equipped to continue to autokill UUG?

Pretty self explanatory. If I can stop wasting an accessory spot with an item I don't need equipped, I'd like to trade it out.

No, you only need the ring if you are actually fighting him. Autokill only requires that you have maxxed the ring (and have enough power/toughness).

Auto-kill only cares about reaching the conditions for it and the timer being at 0s.
You need to level the ring to 100 in addition to the stats but you don't need the ring to be equipped (or even in your inventory at all) to continue to auto-kill him.
