Both will defeat you instantly (unless you train block with advanced training and block the attack) if you wait too long, and besides that they work very differently.
The first will explode if you do the wrong attack, the second will explode if you do the attack he said (but you still need to hit him with an attack, the "attack" part is important here).
If you didn't know yet, you can click on "idle mode ON" to disable idle attack and have access to your other skills.
As long as you use your attacks right after each phrase they will have time to finish their cooldown before the next attack, you can use the "regular attack" as well as non-offensive skills between the phrases, just be careful with regular attack when your other attacks come off cooldown.
If this is requires too much reaction for you (not an insult, several people have complained about their reaction time not being quick enough for this mini-game thing) you can continue to get bonuses from all around, including boosting the block skill with advanced training.
If your stats are high enough, fully boosted ultimate attack (offensive boost + ultimate boost + charge + ultimate attack, in that order) followed by your other attacks will make short work of the titan and you just need to enable block a bit before the phrase.
Walderp says, hit me with X Attack -- so you must use X attack on him
Hit me with Y attack - Do not use Y attack, use another attack ... or else do block
Parry counts as an attack, so don't use parry
Either way, you still must do something, you can't just not hit him, regardless of what he says
I found that upon being able to use manual attack on his various forms, then it means a simple Regular attack was suffiicient to keep hurting him. This has a short enough cool-down time that it also allows you to use another attack when Walderp says to do that particular attack. You can even do several Regular attacks for every one of his attacks.
Another pattern you will find is that Walderp will use the "Walderp says" after every 5 attacks...in other words, he attacks you 5 times, then before the 6th time, he will do his line. (Watch the screen for 5 red lines of text, meaning that he attacked you).
The only trick is to remember that at the beginning of each form, it starts at a different count. For example, maybe the first form, he actually starts with 5 times attacking first. For the third form, maybe he starts with 2 times attacking, then says his line. After saying that line the first time, then he goes to his every 6th attack saying that line.
