What Does the GRB "Cooking" stat do?
I beat Ramsey for the first time, felt bad about myself and my cooking skills, got a bloody apron, and now I have a new stat with a purpose of which I don't know.

@lordatog

Well Sh!t. Glad I buffed my recycling. Thanks for letting me know!

Cooking appears again on a couple other items later in the game. But yeah, troll stat. Have to burn through a bunch of special boosts before you can start adding points into more useful stats.

The beard macguffins (which had been bugged for ages so that they didn't actually buff beards at all) were somewhat recently changed to the sexy and smart macguffins. (4G saw no point in actually fixing them.) No other items besides those macguffins do anything for the sexy and smart stats, but those can be considered to be troll stats as well. Well, they're slightly less irrelevant than the cooking stat. Smart and sexy will each give you a character portrait eventually.

Huh, I guess cooking didn't exist in 2020...

Apparently not. Kudos to 4G for adding it as a late game feature (and also an interesting daily puzzle), although the items that raise cooking stats are still sort of troll items, unless you actively switch between outfits depending on what you're doing at any given moment. I never bothered to switch outfits after upgrading to a new set (exception for ring of apathy and a couple of other specifics), and certainly was never motivated to downgrade all the way to GRB gear once cooking unlocked.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
