Right now you could avoid resource 3 perks but they will soon have the a similar value to energy or magic ones.
Of course it's not the only thing that has value, you have a perk for drop chance (+15% for 6,000 PP), QP (+10% for 20,000 PP), perks for idle quesing, the fibonacci perk is a bit of a weird one since there are some very good bonuses but the costs go up significantly (some even go up to level 89 for the extra AP for example but most people stop at level 34 for a long while).
But at least you know for sure that energy and magic are going to be helpful both right now and in the long run, so while you are investigating if +10% QP is worth the investment or if +15% drop chance would really help or not you can just buff these stats and increase your overall progress.
follow that up with drop chance then quest, and from there, magic cap when i remember it exists for a while.
