Just unlocked the tree a few days ago and I've been focusing on upgrading the gold fruit. After that I think I'll try to upgrade the Pomagranet, then the knowledge fruit for exp.
Is this a good idea to work in towards this?
Also, does the tree keep going throughout rebirths? Like if I've got 2/3 of the gold fruit will it continue at 2/3 on the next rebirth and so on?
And, is the only way to get fertilazer for the tree by using AP to buy it?

Fruit does not carry over when you rebirth, so always harvest it first. Your first priority is getting seeds, so start with Gold (and always harvest it instead of eating) then move on to Pomegranate, as you surmised. Getting them both to 10 will take some time and not really benefit you in the meantime, but it's worth it. Fruit of Knowledge is fairly useless at first, though. It become very powerful later, but only because it scales with several different bonuses that you don't have yet. Fruit of Adventure will be more useful once you've got your seed machine up and running.

Fertilizer can be rarely found in the ITOPOD once you've bought "what a crappy perk". I would recommend you do so as soon as possible, as it winds up being a LOT of valuable fertilizer over time. This was the first perk I purchased after the newbie perks, and I feel that I definitely made the correct decision.

• progress doesn't carry over rebirths. But don't sacrifice short rebirths to it. 30min-1h is still what you want to do until UUG (gives you time to get "crappy perk", because until after UUG you won't be spending that much time in ITOPOD. Adventure first.)
  
• focus on getting gold 10 (because it's cheap)
  
• next step: don't forget your main focus is on seeds, not on pomegrenate
  
• pomegrenate yields 5x more seeds then the rest up to power beta, but as the price is getting heavy other trees will yield more seeds per seeds invested. Consider that while planning your route (it's individual as it also depends on your ability/will to harvest more often).
  
  For example: you may want to level power alfa with your pomegrenate as the cost is 1/6th of pomegrenate so it's a good investment (it gets complicated with pooping pomegrenate a bit, but still worth keeping the power alfa level very close to the end)
  
• do not eat adventure and knowledge, harvest them. They only get their value when they are at level 24 and you have all the supporting perks, yield gear and decent NGU. (Seriously, don't eat them, their cumulative contribution at the end of normal difficulty will be under 1%, not worth it really), you may eat luck and power beta, those help along the way
  
• don't buy poop from shop for AP (if you want to spend, buy newbie packs, they include some poop)
  
• poop only pomegrenate once it's 6 or 8 (manage your poop. The whole day in ITOPOD means 6-9 poops. Pooping pomegrenate every 8h means 4 poops/day).
  
• blue heart bonus affects poop
  
• consider getting trees at minimum level 3. It gets good harvest/eat value for very cheap. Also more synced trees are easier to harvest
  
• "I want your seeds" and "First harvest" perks are (also :) ) important once your levels are getting to 10-12.
  
• once your pomegrenate is getting to 10, do your troll 3 challenge. Then it's gold 24 and then pomegrenate 24 while leveling other trees accordingly to their seeds harvest/cost.

later you'll find some equipment that have little bonus that are worth keeping.

UUG's 'Special' Ring gives +30% seed gain

so even though they just sit in my inventory for my whole rebirth and I one use them for the short time it takes for me to harvest. I can't imagine how far behind I would be if I had tossed them.

How do i even find the fruit? I spent the arbitrary points but cant find it anywhere?

To unlock Yggdrasil feature you need to kill second titan and activate an item that it drops. Then new menu option will appear with a list of different fruits. I am not sure what you spend the arbitrary points on.

Gotcha thanks, Im not sure eitehr, but it was the only thing I could really afford and I was like, well, what the heck oh well

Thank you all for the helpful tips! I'll work on leveling up as many fruits as possible to do a mass seed harvest to ease leveling the pom! Then Upgrade Everything!!!
