Choco Wall is brutal...
I can autokill beast V3 and I've just started farming Chocolate World for gear (idling, 6 or 7 hits per kill). I never felt like the previous "walls" were very slow, but this one seems horrible.

1. Because you only get the cube root of drop chance, the drop rate here is awful. I'm in full drop gear and my drop chance is 1.55%

2. The chocolate set seems to be less of an improvement over the previous set than normal, so it seems as though I'll need to level each piece to ~50 before they are wearable

3. I'm not really working on anything else while I'm doing this. I'm in full drop gear, so NGU speed is negligible. I'm not getting PP and QP are super slow in idle mode. Boost drop chance is 1.55%

Do I just have to leave it running and hope for drops? I can't really see what else to do at this point. My infinity cube is almost up to soft cap.

how is your infinity cube up to softcap almost and ur 7 shotting the mobs in the chocolate world?

I just finished the chocolate grind about an hour ago... it took me 2 days of actual grinding although i did do a 24 hour rebirth in between so it was probably only like 1 day and 18 hours of sitting in the zone actually.

My cube is at like 700k power and 695k toughness if i was at softcap i'd be in evil right now lol.

What is your adventure energy ngu @?

how bout your adventure Beard?

how bout adventure magic ngu?

I feel like you have to be about comparable to me in ngu's cause in full drop gear my drop rate is about 2% in chocolate world.

can you get your toughness up to about 3.000 E11 or 300 billion? If so are you using beast mode? that cuts off 1 or 2 attacks per mob

Edit. I lied you have to be way lower than me in ngu's and beard if you have double my base (softcap cube) and it takes you 3 - 4 more attacks than me to kill a mob.

Edit 2 actually just what are you base stats across the board energy/magic power/cap/bars. beard levels and ngus

This does not sound that bad. I initially started farming Boring-Ass Earth with just 0.8% drop chance and it was fine, one day and got equipment for every slot that almost doubled my power and toughness then returned back to doing other things. Later I returned to BAE and farmed till level 100 while doing other things.

Personally I wouldn't sacrifice other features just for few extra %. If you lower drop chance to 1.3% you can keep NGU working at its usual speed or close to it. Plus you can use exp to get power and cap for resources to max it instead of those multipliers. Do major quests in active mode before switching to farming. Idle QP are just few extra points that you get instead of 0, but it is not significant amount compared to active major quest rewards. Leave PP earnings for offline (switch drop chance gold digger to PP before going offline if you don't have it active).

Do I just have to leave it running and hope for drops? I can't really see what else to do at this point. My infinity cube is almost up to soft cap.
Does not really matter. Just earn exp, invest it into more resources, keep going up.

I don't see how this wall is different from some previous walls, like when you start killing Beast V1 but don't have any noticable improvements before you can kill Beast V3 and you need 100x increase in adventure stats for that wall. 2x comes from getting beast set, another 2x from slowly maxing and boosting it, the remaining 25x should come from other sources. You already passed that wall, so I am surprised you don't know what to do at the next wall.

Sorry, my cube toughness is soft capped, but not my power. I supposed I could get another 2mil power on the cube.

Adventure energy ngu is 4572%

Adventure beard is 272% active, 302% permanent

Adventure magic ngu is 162%

I have toughness at 1.7e11, and that's stable in beast mode

Power in beast mode is 4.05e11

base energy: 9395 power, 351mil cap, 9426 bars

base magic: 7077 power, 265mil cap, 7099 bars

I took off all my drop gear and put on max NGU gear instead. Drop rate only went from 1.55% to 1.02%, so I'm idling while doing NGU at full speed.

seems like u've been investing more in magic than me my magic is about 13% less than urs and my energy is about 35% more than urs. I'm just blown away by that fact you have so much more in the cube than me lol and i though i was making good progress on my cube ... bleh my beards are stronger too i guess but i switch to 2 - 1 power to bars cause i like to set my runs and then leave them going so i try to make sure i get my full cap in less than a minute lol.

Seems like you've come to the most reasonable conclusion getting the choco set isn't a big rush... it is a power upgrade but you are correct in that its only about 75% better than the slime set instead of about 1.9 - 2.0 times stronger like the rest of the sets have been in the past obviously it still makes a big difference but meh.

If you care i found that the method that worked best for me is that i just farmed in the slime set till all the choco stuff was about level 40 - 45 then i equipped it all and just let the itopod run with 500 boosts going, prioritizing power then toughness then special.

Once i maxed the power toughness and got as far as i wanted to witth the special (i boosted the special in order till i finished the energy/magic power on the pants) I then went and used the choco set to grind in the chocolate world overnight with the choco set on so that auto boost would make sure i didn't fill up. then rebirth. Switched back to slime(with stealthiest chest) to get my time machine and advanced training done then put the choco set back on boosted it up in itopod (its better to do the itopod for like the first 5 - 6 hours of a rebirth anyways) to let the beard levels build up then i put my drop stuff on went back to chocolate let it run till my rebirth the next day and i was done.

Its really not as bad as it seems it'll probably take you like 2 - 3 days and then its waiting for the auto on v4 beast for those juicy accessories.

your adventure is ok. I always wait until at least Beast idle is possible before even going to zone. That's 9 hits per kill to begin with and goes lower pretty fast (usually ends like 3 or 4 when the zone is done).

But your drop chance is pretty low. Normally you want to have at least 2% at the begin of rebirth (going up to 2.5% at the end) as bare minimum. But truth is, waiting for 4 or even 8% is better in longterm at this point.

With Beast idle and 2-2.5% chance (don't forget to take respawn items off) it takes around 1.5 days to get full set. Which is already quite expensive in PP.

Few notes:

  • you only pay in PP, QP are stored so no harm done there

  • it's chocolade set, it won't get you any further (that's pretty much true for any set from now on), so waiting until you have more drop chance is ok. You will loose less PP.

  • your main drop chance "movers" are beards and luck yggdrasil (it should be closing to 24 and pooped) at that point. You are waiting for these to get you there and it's timegate. Not much you can do about it. This is one reason why pushing forward (like multiday rebirths and such) means nothing any longer.

You will need to wait it out either way as all further zone chances are even lower and lower. You can wait for it now or later. The only difference is wasted time doing zones with lower chance sooner. And wait for beards and yggdrasil to catch up later. The other way it better.

  • at this point beard (and adv.training) banks helps a bit shortterm and their relevance will only grow. So if you haven't already, spend some PP for those. And consider charging them with one initial burst rebirth instead of waiting for them to get to max through seweral (many) 24h rebirths.
So my advice would be: wait until your chance get closer to 2.5-3% or even more (that's at least 1e7% drop chance).

Welcome and get used to it (Because Evil difficulty is like that. Days turns to Weeks...)

Do I just have to leave it running and hope for drops? I can't really see what else to do at this point. My infinity cube is almost up to soft cap.

1. At this point, the gain in drop rate is so minimal you're better off with NGU-related gear

2. Correct. Lv35-50 and you should start wearing it.
(One exception is the Weapon from Titan 8).
Next set is always an improvement (once you leveled all the pieces).
It's just the bonuses are spread out so having only a single piece might not be so helpful.

https://gmiclotte.github.io/gear-optimizer/#/ < very useful when you want to mix and match.

3. I didn't touch Choco until drop rate is 2%. Better off embiggening your PP.

You gotta squeeze out every last drops out of the unlocked features.
It's all about the synergy and "optimizing" your run.
After that, just wait idle. It's not much, because it's an Idle game.
It'll add up.

I was away over weekend, so I just left it running at 1.2% drop rate. After three days, the boots, crowbar and helmet are maxxed. Chest is 81 and legs 94.

So, not so bad.

One thing you will note going forward is that while drop chance is a factor, the amount of hits to defeat an enemy often has just as much impact if not more on how quickly you are getting drops.
