ArcheAge: Unchained

ArcheAge: Unchained

"Failed to Load Game Date", NOW Error #1005 (Can't update)
I really don't want to do a refund, but after the "Failed to Load Game Data" bug, it suddenly started to do a 110mg download.. and then ERROR #1005 keeps popping up saying "Can't update" What is going on with this? I have firewall / Virus turned off, I've tried on drive C, but we shouldn't have to keep doing this... A patch should be issues. It keeps downloading repeatedly and no luck... UGH :(

Hey Jim!

Make sure Glyph/Steam/ArcheAge are all saved on the same drive on your PC and you run the game in Admin mode :)

Cheers,
Timber

I have only 1 drive (c) and I'm running GLYPH in admin mode.

they cant just get a refund..... obvious that the devs don't want to do their job and figure out what is going on just keep throwing bandaids at it hoping they wont have a bunch of people quit before they can return the game for refund. its in Glyph not the game itself. Stupid

I'm having this issue too. I purchased the game on Steam. I have tried numerous of the suggested fixes: I only have one drive (C), am running in admin mode, have added glyph as an exclusion in Antivirus, have tried reinstalling in different locations, yet it always gives me error 1005 when i try to patch. Edit: have also disabled antivirus/firewall for the duration of the install but it didn't help.

I"m surprised they didn't tell us again to install on the same drive (already done), and turn off firewall and virus protection (also already done). I wish they were really looking into this vs. giving us a blanket fix that doesn't work.

currently i succeded to launch it on external hdd. don't ask me why it is completely weird. unfortunately the game crashes obvisouly cause well it's external hdd anyway so performance is very low... i'm so fed up with this game

Hi ! have found my issue. Still trying to solve it. Currently I'm launching windows on bootcamp installed on Mac OS. that is the issue. In fact, the developers use anti cheat system to block multi session for the game. for example it would block the game running on a virtual machine. I guess bootcamp wasn't tested. BUT since they're aware people are using other operating system such as Mac they allowed what they called "OSE" for operating system emulator. For Mac the main one is called WINE. So if you have linux or Mac OS you should use things like that

Interesting.. I'm using Bootcamp as well.. But being a separate partition, I wonder if it's something they'll fix since it's completely legit for us to use a mac with bootcamp as it's part of our operating system

I honestly don't want to use emulation though, as I want the full power of my computer.

Jim,

Did you ever find a fix for this? I am experiencing the same issue and have tried every "fix" I can find on the internet. I am also using Boot Camp

Best to simply give up. I spent so much time with their support team, and have gotten nowhere.
