Unchained or Legacy?

Would you say Unchained is worth the $25 buy in price? From what I've gathered Legacy is P2W & Unchained is somewhat similar due to alts/gold buying. So don't both version of them have flaws, but one costs an entry fee? Not sure if it make sense to get Unchained if I'm never going to catch up anyways due to the high gear score. Just wondering if it's worth buying Unchained or just play Legacy since either way I'm going to get wrecked in PvP. Just one is paid while the other is just time.

Legacy is "f2p", but patron is not optional = you have to pay in every months and you will pay more in short time.

AAU is b2p. You pay it - you play it. You don't have to spend more money. You can keep your houses without extra spending, you can spend more labors (ArchePass rewards) and you can buy cash shop items in diligence shop (diligence coins are the rewards of Archepass quests). Cash shop offers cosmetic items only.

Legacy has high GS players too. But you will be slower in this servers and you will never catch them. But you will have to pay in every months or you will be slave of whales forever.

Honestly just try out legacy. If you CAN like it and willing to play more of it go for unchained...

But imo any game that uses grinding as a main focus feature for "content" isn't fun in the long run

Thats not true.

You need to buy every future DLC (the first one you can already pre-order, on steam or on website), because character proggression is locked behind DLC content.

This is a lie, AAU was ''supposed'' to be pay once but now they're adding paid dlc (where you cant get the top gear without owning DLC) etc, both are now p2w. I'd recommend neither. Unchained used to be an amazing game but like all MMO's the greed of those running it has pretty much destroyed it, the servers were all dying and they decided to sell fresh start servers (adding more dead servers and basically just adding to the problem) because, they can monetise fresh start.

1. I posted it BEFORE "DLC" news.
2. Business modell is not p2w. B2P = you buy it - you play it. prices of game, 1 non stackable subscription or DLS/Expansion in static (not insane high) price are NOT p2w. You pay it 1 time you got same contents/rewards like every other average players. Gamigo break rules/contract maybe, but this is not p2w.
3. OP asked suggestion about game BEFORE he/she buys the game = price of game is irrelevant in this question in "p2w or not" side. The game is b2p in new combo prices now. You can't chose "old patch only" game now (?).

Pretty much, it's a dead genre these days, has been for awhile. Yet, foolishly still hopeful that eventually one will be run by people with the passion, skill and intelligence required to make it successful instead of killing the game extremely early on out of greed for a short burst of cash.
