Mandatory PvP?
Good afternoon. I'm interested in buying the game but I'm not interested in the player vs player part, so my question is is it mandatory to play PvP?

short answer: yes

long answer: technically yes, every race has starter zones, basically no PVP unless you engage first, every zone after the fifth or sixth zones ( in terms of lvl) will rotate between peace ( no pvp ) to crisis/conflict/war ect. (open pvp with war going into peace)

https://www.ign.com/wikis/archeage/Zones

so if you want to go everywhere in game expect to watch your surroundings

I mean you could stay in the safe areas but that's like 1/3 of the game

they have certain zones in peace and tension and war but just afford those areas or upgrade your glider asap to just fly once again there are alot of problems at end game but for the moment i just want to farm and fish ..
if you really dont enjoy pvp you can just avoid going into pvp zones.

when you get to level 30 you may have to wait for a zone to go into peace before you continue your quests and continue leveling up.

alternatively you can spend labor points on vocational things... the higher the proficiency the more xp you will get
