Playing on a NA server from the EU

Well met fellow AAU players.
I have a question regarding the possibility to play on an NA server even though I'm located in EU.

My reason for playing on the NA server-side is because I have several friends who are American, and I'd like to play with them. My main concern is the potential ping issues that may occur. I'm not certain if software like ExitLag can help me, considering the vast distances between my physical location and the NA servers.

At the moment I'm playing on the NA server called Kaitlyn (I may have miss-spelt the name) and I seem to have a fairly decent connection, and I am using ExitLag. Do any of you have practical experience in playing from the EU to NA? If so, how's the ping? Is it playable?

I don't have an answer to your question as I'm in NA but I do have some advice regarding the class not to play. If you don't have a great connection with low ping you want to choose something other than an archer class, it's very ping reliant. Hope you have a good New Years Eve :)

search youtube for archeage high ping, theres a good video that goes over which classes handle bad ping better.
