Report a translation problem
Looked it up- it's the latter. You'd need to use a mornstar to remove it, then a transmuter to reseal it. I'm going to guess the mornstars are expensive considering their application- the transmuter requires 4x sturdy ingots to craft (can be pricey depending on your gold situation) and reseals your gem - then likely that you'd need to pay to put the gem back in the item. =/
