Can't even ask chat for help because I'm not level 15 to communicate.
Maybe consider starting new if you choose the wrong armor and start with better Skilltrees then ~ getting some advice from other people first maybe ^^
But as it turns out the Staff was causing me grief.
I asked for advice and used some Club which gave me better healing ability but less magic damage,
but strangely it gave more damage compared to the staff for my abilities.
I'm perfectly fine now, the Staff was just not working.
Vitalism makes use of healing power, which is found in clubs for 1h and greatclubs for 2h. You're also looking at the Spirit stat for more healing power too.
If you do the sidequests alongside your main story quests you'll be at a reasonable level in comparison to the mobs you'll find in the zones, otherwise you'll be under-leveled after a certain point. There's also three important side-quests to make note of. The first being for your mount, the second is for your glider, and the third is at level 20 for a battle pet which will be great for healers. Especially once you get them armor from the stable as you can then command the pet to fight and move to a more supportive role.
Until you get to level 10 to get Antithesis you're just going to have to use Mirror Light and spam Holy Bolt, taking time to recover between each enemy. No idea what you plan to play as so what you're looking to do could help with some suggestions as to what you'll need to do to change your skills around.
They were very helpful,
And yep I was spamming holy bolt and healing as much as I could.
Lvl 15 now, no idea what I'm trying to be, just randomly playing the game and choosing classes that seem cool.
I've picked Archer as my 3rd choice, but my pings at 250 (considered good for Aussies) so probably will have to swap off this class.
I didn't have to restart earlier either like suggested,
one of the blacksmith merchants had a quest reward box I could buy than had a weapons I could choose from
You could always go for a more damage oriented build with your current spec even.
Go ahead and take the staff. get more damage. you can always break the weapon down (with an adventurers stone), and purchase another another from the weaponsmith. It'll be a box listed as 1h weapons. If you wanted to reroll back to a full healer build. I assume that's what you want to focus on since you started as vitality.
Just make you at level 50 you've made you're finaly decision on what type of gear you would like to use. Because once you upgrade your adventurers set into hiram for the last story quests in Diamond shores that's the end of rerolling you're gear.
Keep in mind you'll most likely have to recraft your gear at some point anyways, cause the stats they roll is pretty RNG, and you only get so many stat reroll as you infuse your gear.
If you're really confused you could always look at a Youtube guide. Belamy makes some good ones https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuJQgp2fpIA&t=479s
All classes feel quite weak imo until you get around level 30 ish and have upgraded all your gear to the level 30 stuff. Even at level 50+ you can feel weak without fully upgraded gear and a proper build. Thankfully, swapping builds and testing new things is quite easy. I'd suggest use 1-49 to test out the builds and classes you like, and once you've decided for sure, then upgrade your gear to the level 50 mark (Hiram gear). Once you've upgraded to Hiram, you CANNOT break it back down for infusions again.
