A question about classes and how powerful they are

So I got my swiftblade done,and as my main I am really enjoying it in pvp,leveling and farming. It is the perfect rogue/sin I ever dreamed of in a MMO,and a it's perfect !

Now I made an Ebonsong loli {very cute little one} lol for my second class,and now I am level 45,and now I am seeing mages and melees,and rogues {my main class} are killing me fast. Now I do love the Ebonsong because it reminds me of a bard but now since my boyfriend is not playing alot till next year {he is a martial arts teacher},and I work different hours than most my friends I will be soloing alot.

I heard from alot of players the archer was nerfed bad,and they don't put out the DPS or have the suvivalbility like most class do. On my Swiftblade I can kill alot,and get away fast {love that stealth} but as an archer I am the first target in PVP,and I feel frail,and my big hitters don't hit as much as they should. Well if they did people would be whining because unnerfed archers are dangerous lol Even with my bard debuff on,I am having trouble hitting through plate.

So is it wise to just reroll at 40s before hiram,and go to a mage or plate ? It's a shame the devs have to oppress a class just because it's capable of destroying alot,same as keeping the chains on Fenrir.

Archer has always been gear reliant (at least for the past 4 years) and ping reliant to match the other archetypes. Healer and tank also aren't good until they are geared out. Doesn't mean everyone should play as Darkrunner because all it takes is a weapon and face rolling your keyboard.

If you really want to see how a class or armor type performs just try it in team arena. It is actually fair there in terms of stat values. Unless I am being focused by multiple people I just don't die as a soothsayer.

I don't have any trouble with ping at all because here in Sweden our connection is smooth unlike Australia lol I feel bad for aussies on MMOS.

I mean I do have a main all geared,and ready for battle,and I am enjoying it very much so maybe I will just stick to archer,and figure it out more,and I am sure I will enjoy it,as I do love a challenge.

Now the fact none of my RL friends or not many of my guild picked an Ebonsong so I am wondering where I can find a nice build for just leveling up to 55 solo. I will group with others but sometimes you have no choice but to solo so I want to make sure my kiting is good so I don't get hit by ancients. I do know a build for PVP but I want a PVE solo one also. I watched videos and looked up youtubers but no build for just grinding away.

I did find a primeval build that is perfect but that will be defeating my purpose for leveling as an Ebonsong which I do love because I love bards,and always played bards.

Honestly ebonsong is a good all around class for pvp and pve. It will be archer class doing the most damage possible. It has very little cc though. Outside of startling strain and the archer snare I don't think you have much else. And those are relatively short cc. If you just want to kite things Shadehunter is really good. It's also good in pvp. Stone Arrow is also something to consider if you are having trouble with melee. The real problem Archery has that NO ONE talks about is that all the good builds require shadowplay. So it's pretty limiting.

Do you have any Ebonsong leveling builds I can use ? Yes I love kiting,and I love the adrenaline rush,and I love making money farming,and being self sufficient {that's how you say in english,mind my english lol ?}

It sucks that my boyfriend is pro plate,and not many of my friends like pure scouts or bards so I am left asking around how to play my class in pve solo. I just really want to solo farm,and get all my gear upgraded because as I explained I am stuck solo due to the fact my rl friends now have different schedule than me due to holidays coming up. I can work when I want,and get alot of time off being a HEMA instructour and all so I can grind when I have no students that day, but it also is no good thing because I have to play without a guild lol

I will try those classes, but I really want to try the Ebonsong through good and bad because I already have a main that can slash through ice easy lol I am going to stick it out,and play an Ebonsong

Thank you for suggestions,and maybe I will spend a bit of moneys to try different builds,and experience,and see what I really love in a class.

Well leveling will be tough until you get to level 50 for Bloody Chantey from songcraft. After that I think you will have a much easier time solo farming. Drop back and sonic wave are better with ancestrals but they can be replaced for somehting else while you are leveling. But they are very good skills to keep in mind to use in the future.

Perhaps Critical discord instead of Sonic Wave would be better for farming specifically.
