Nothing more better than having a skill that you can snare,and kite a mob,and shoot it down with powerful hits till it is dead. Also imagine being in the back shooting your enemies in pvp while being healed,and being sneaky. That is the archer :D Very fun class if you like being sneaky,and running away lol You are robinhood

unless you have top 100 quality gear, and know the class very well, no it's not very good. Melee classes will stomp all over you all day every day unless you're a very well geared archer. I play Ebonsong and we are very very weak in 1v1 unless we get the jump on someone, even then, still quite tough to win without the top end gear.

battlerage is just too OP right now.

battlerage is just too OP right now.

Are we not all going to get the top gear eventually ? So why give up,and make it a goal to get the best gear so the archer is great vs other over powered classes instead of telling someone the class is not good at the beginning. Yes take what comes with the archer,level it up,learn the class than you will be ready to take on the classes that stomped you at low levels lol

wondering same thing about mages, i am mid 30's and upgraded some of my gear, yet if i see battlerager they just charge me and spin a few times and im usually dead or have very low healyh before i can do anything, do i have to be ancestral level 10 as a mage before i can kill stuff? or do i just have to attack people that are low health and not paying attention? its a serious question, what am i doing wrong? shoud i be using more plate armor (i have all cloth) should i use a shield?

I am a healer in plate and it really doesn't make a difference. I play with a friend that is a mage in cloth and we both die just as fast to a level 50+ battlerage person. They get an OP passive that reduces physical defense by 3000 if they get a crit on you. Not that big of a deal later in endgame, but it practically makes you naked while leveling or undergeared.

i figured, i am new to the game so i dont know all the skills yet, so trying to figure out what skills you can use to counter things like the charge + spin spam to knock you down

yes pvp is the main reason i got the game and im trying to mess around with it a little bit to see if its worth continuing to play

Yes low level pvp is always fun,and a it's not always about high end so perhaps you do want to PVP while you are questing instead of being bored,rushing and grinding to 55.

Have you been using your defiance skill at all? It lets you break cc and gives you a 1 sec immunity. It has a long cooldown though so you can't rely on it on the time, but it can help since most people just faceroll their keyboard as melee.

Also might want a class like Auramancy for the teleport skill. They have a few gap closers but it helps to have some skill that get you some distance from your attacker. Also cc is good too to have. I use witchcraft myself for the cc it offers. Occultism is also good on that regard as well.

yeah i saw this skill and am going to try to use it, but as you said it has a long cooldown so i dont really like to use skills like that but will give it a try thx

Archer is great honestly. Tons of different builds as well. I'm a lv 45 archer and love it. Have like 4 different main builds i switch between. I actually took out half of a ancestral 11's hp as a lv 45 archer with some of my strategy.

Did you make up your own builds or get them from META ? I want to learn about the mechanics and knowledge on making my own builds.
