My onset was explorers gear. I understand you should keep that to get Hiram gear, just keep upgrading it. So is that back at the start? The armor vendor I am at only shows factioned gear. This is so damn strange to me. If this armor set is the gate, and there is only one above it, then what is the purpose of the mobs other than one shot quests? Anyway, rant over, how do I get my original gear, and how do I get enough potion upgrade thingys to get me up to snuff? Help?

you receive explorer gear from the main quest aswell as the upgrade stuff for it , but be very careful which armor type you use cloth , leather or plate since once you upgrade that you don\t receive all the materials back , if you somehow trashed the original gear that you got from quest you can buy the packs from a armorer or weapon smith for the weapons, the infusions and awakening scrolls you only receive from compleating the main quest line those be carefull with cause you can't get more of.Also when you upg to hiram you can't change the gear anymore aside from getting the base hiram
It's not the end of the world imo if you mess up , explorer gear gets upg into arcane hiram T1
but it takes very little to upg the base hiram to arcane so it's not the end of the world imo if mess up and you want to change .hiram goes grand>rare>arcane>heroic>unique>celestial at celestial you can awaken it to radiant hiram you start from rare and you need to upg it again to divine at wich point you can awaken it again

The gear provided by the weapon/armor merchant are the base versions of the quest equipment in the event you use an adventurer's evenstone to revert progress and earn back your awakening scrolls and infusions.

In the event you destroyed a piece of equipment, going to a merchant isn't going to do you any good due to the lack of infusions specific to quest equipment. Your option at that point is relying on mob drops and dungeon equipment for that missing slot while you made a hiram replacement from scratch.

you get all the materials back when you use an adventurers evenstone on it. so even if you do cloth or plate and want to switch, just use the thing i mentioned and u will get all the materials u put into it back, im referring to the infusion and awakening scrolls

I only used the adv evenstone to break the gear down. So moonrise, scorching etc are the same base product for hiram? It doesn't necc need to be explorer?

Do you come across more adv evenstones or are you done after the stack of em early on?
