Will there be a follow up game?
I just finished the game and loved it as much as the first one. The ending seems like it's final but I would love to see Revolution make another game in the series possibly a prequel. Despite the bugs and bad AI pathing the game is incredible especially from such a small studio and I know the game sold well and got good reviews. I don't see it being very likely but I would love to see another game set in the Steel Sky universe.

It definitely needs to be a Trilogy, or a Quadrilogy
I think Cecil (don´t remeber his last name, the creator of both Revolution software´s famous IPs) has stated on several interviews that after Beyond a Steel Sky his focus would be developing Broken Sword 6, which is still according to him on a very early stage where they are still brainstorming and the only thing he has said is that he thinks George will travel to Germany this time around.

So I wouldn´t expect any news for Steel Sky universe for at least 4 years, since Rev. isn´t a supper huge studio and it takes them time to make games. Overall with all European gaming IPs you have to be more patients than normal, small studios, longer developing times, and more financial stepbacks to back up their games.

The game wasn't very successful, so why should they do a sequel? Revolution couldn't advance the point and click genre. Maybe it's better for them to stop developing games. Their last good game I guess was Broken Sword 3. After that all their games were trash.

Source?

Do you have a graph with the devs history on budget versus profit?

Do you fully understand the level at which Revolution gets guvernamental help from France or if they are 100% private?

Oppinions are like buts, everyone has one and most are ugly to look.

I remember it being very popular back in the day, even in my small town all my friends were talking about it and funnily enough they had no idea it was set in Australia lol

I managed to get a copy of the game with a video card my dad purchased. I remember sitting at my desktop with my friends around me yelling click that go there do that! lol

Why would they get financial support from the French government?

Nice to see Brexit is def improving on education on the isles.

No, it´s called the normal thing. Almost every country in the world other than US and India get government funding for artistic endevours. Because only US and India have a big enough production and profit to sustain itself. Even in your country tons of productions get financial support from the government smart guy.

Socialism it´s just the set of rules aimed at programs set by the government that focus on social issues. All countries and governemnt in this world have more or less pieces of socialism.

I hope you learned something. I understand being an anglo person your education is limited to your own territories and ... "culture", if stealing tea leaves from India and having crocked teeth can be called a culture.

First off mate. Am Celtic. Don't compare me to a WASP. Ma family had no involvement in the Empire. I hate the Empire. Am also no a Tory either or a Brexiteer or a Capitalist.
Second, mate see the "Normal Thing" and "Programs" you're talking about that "support from the government" that's called Socialism. You're literally just arguing about the semantics cos you got shown up as ignorant. FFS XD

"Celtic" HAHAHAHAHAHAHA yeah mate, for sure. THat´s the great thing about anglos, you only need one great-great-great-great grandfather to be something else for you to constantly ditch your own genetics.

Plenty of country with no social governments still provide financial support to the media industry. Again, besides US and India no country produces enough to have the industry be profitable on it´s own.

Calling "Socialism" to a system that adds ANY help to anything would imply all governments on earth are Socialist. And they are not. So if you are not none of the things you say, maybe don´t use words like "socialism" on the same terms they do?

Wow - that escalated quickly. I simply meant, why would the French government be giving funding to a small development studio located in the north of England. I know one of the Broken Sword characters is French, but other than that, I don't see the connection.

Yeh I was confused about why they said France cos I'm a Dave Gibbons fan. I was tryna be funny but it probably came off as sarcastic and condescending.
