White screen

I can't seem to be able to play this? It launches, but there is just a white screen and nothing shows.

Do solve this go to your Documents > Rusty Lake > TheWhiteDoor and delete "saveGame" this will infact delete your progress (if you had any) and if this does not work do this then uninstall and re-install the game

FIX: Try going into your antivirus (I have bitdefender) and make sure it isnt blocking the application. (For BitDefender its Protection>Safe Files>Application Access.

Can you tell me how did you solve that? I deleted and re-downloaded the game a lot of times and checked the windows denfender firewall, but it still does not work.

Hi, I have the same white screen when I open the game on PC. I deleted and redownloaded it and checked my firewall. Everything is going well but the game doesn't work. Can you help please ?

Hello, white screen issue on OSX when opening the game. Maybe it will help someone: I done some digging and the issue is with .sav file that is in the Documents folder. In my case the 'Kind' of the save game was recognised as Parallels file. What ive done is to Open with and point to The White Door app - it will be greyed out but dont worry about it and click Open. it automatically opened the game with correct save. Hope that helps.

Hi thanks for your support and sorry for the inconvenience! This issue can be caused by the antivirusprogram Bitdefender/Windows Security:

If you have Bitdefender/Windows Security, then you will need to open it up. Once you open up Bitdefender/Windows Security you should see a notifications tab on the bottom left. Next, you will want to view the notifications and you should see a message saying that an application access was blocked. Click on view application and then it will take you to a list of applications that may have been blocked. Look for The White Door and then click on the gray oval to the right. It should should change to a blue oval with a check mark next to it. That means you should now have access. Restart the game and you should have access
