I've just run out of Red Minions but don't have any more Red lifeforce?...

This is no doubt a "no brainer" to most but not for me, as of yet anyway. So do I need to have Red Minions to get more Red lifeforce or can I use my Brown as well and just go back to Spree or the like and get some more Red lifeforce? And then of course keep a better eye on my Reds next time before they and or their lifeforce runs out! Thanks big-time in advance & happy gaming!

You can use any minions to harvest any life force. You just have to be careful with the beetles when you first run across them. The red beetles can be particularly nasty when it comes to harvesting.

Thanks so much tho I sort of figured that out for myself I think the next day i.e. if I wonted red minions than I'd have to go to where the red mobs were or in this case as you mentioned red beetles and they're right before/inside and beyond the old castle behind the town of Spree.

Btw if I'm going to have to sacrifice my minions to get most if not all of the upgrades in the game than that means I'll have to do a hell of a lot of grinding right? If so I have to say even though I'm really enjoying this game so far I've never been much if at all (save for maybe 'Homeworld' back in the day) an RTS fan. So will just have to wait and see how the game plays out. Anything you'd like to add would sure be appreciated and thanks again for the response!
