Is the game updating on steam for anyone else? Just says need new content and sends to website with download link, back to steam...

WTF? I started the game for my nightly session hoping to advance in the game as I recently joined an effective alliance and EVERYTHING is gone. It's staring me out at square one as though it's the very first time I've ever played. If this is what they mean by update, I'm quitting this game and changing my review.
