Her belly is wider than both hips and shoulders, that's "fat" in my book.
If anything, there's more to complain about with her being SHORT than her weight. That actually does make her being able to casually lug Gamzee's unconscious body around a little questionable. She might be able to lift him, but carry him?
What happened here is something called "headcanon", and is the representation of the character by an specific artist, and for HS there are so many, like A LOT:
- Jane, Aradia and Feferi being chubby
- Karkat, Nepeta and Terezi being the smaller ones of the team
- Gamzee and Kanaya being the taller ones (my fav headcanon)
- Eridan having his hair tainted violet from blonde
- Karkat being fluffy and fat
- John, Jade, Jake and Jane having dark skin tones
- Vriska being smaller than Terezi
and a jillion more
In the end, depends of the artist how they portrayed the characters here, and is the same with the writters of the routes with the scripts
(I have to admit, I didn't like it that much at first, but trust me... it could be worst)
Yeah, I'm not liking, personally, how the artists are kinda throwing headcanons in there. This is like officially licensed fan fiction.
The Striders and Lalondes were very specifically described as albino, pale, etc, it was kind of the joke behind the Striders, and they're directly related to the Lalondes. But the artist for Roxy in the newest installation is known for 'blackening' up their character designs. Which. Is part of why Roxy... looks the way she does.
