You may want to take a look at the putting green, as golfers will only use a putter on those.
As stated, can't really make holes on the Putting Green, as you designed them to be short range target practice. I mean, you can lay 18 individual Putting Greens, but each will be a few feet at best.
So, in short, no basically. Fair enough. I do also plan on having a "double length par holes" course that makes use of gadgets to cut down on required swings, to make them "normal pars". But doing Wedge/Putting only is not possible.
As an aside, you mention
but it is a fixed ground type. So if using the Firm Fairway ground you get patches of standard fairway. Several of the gadgets are like this, such as the Golf Marker. Just makes ugly blobs of Standard Fairway if using Firm Fairway.
Any chance of adding a ground toggle to these sort of placeables (Standard/Firm toggle)? That way Green could be an option too and the AI may/could be programmed to start with a Wedge.
EDIT: I did toy with using Fans behind the Tee at around 50% height to try and lengthen drives, but instead they actually kill any ball flight once the ball enters its cone of vision. It served to keep the balls grounded which helps me make a Mini/Crazy Golf course, but is that what is intended?
Fans at 0% height will boost Tee shots, but will kill any momentum if a ball flies into a raised Fan.
