Have you actually played golf IRL? If yes, do you practice it?
(My understanding(read: movies) is Golf is for Rich, a club an indie Game Dev may not enter ;-) )

Yes, I do play real golf, yet somewhat poorly. I use to not really be interested in golf, but after discovering SimGolf way back, I tried it out in the real world and it was pretty fun.

There are some really fancy pants golf courses out there for sure. My mom worked at a high-end golf course for many years. The people who play there are pretty competitive among other “interesting” qualities. I don’t tend to go to those fancy courses myself. Thankfully they do have some pretty beat-up golf courses that don’t charge huge fees and people don’t take it so seriously.

So yeah, I play, but strictly for fun. Most of the time I don’t even keep score. Unless it’s mini-golf, then it’s all business 😊

Will there be a Switch version? I know it's a cliche question to ask thanks to the "port everything to Switch" meme, but I no longer play on PC, so this is something I always ask about games I'm interested in.

I don't have any plans for a switch version at this time .. we'll see what the future holds though

Do you have a discord server for us to poke you every other day for updates?

Not yet, but I plan to set one up pretty soon. You can still poke every other day here if you wish ;)

Any chance there will be stuff put in so people can make mods, adding decorations and other things into the game

Anything may be possible after release if enough people want that. For now I’m focused on getting things as fun as possible without the need for alterations.

If there is random events that happen to spice up gameplay there has to be one referencing Caddy Shack and trying to blow up a gopher

Golfers can get sick or fight with one another. Sometimes it rains, upsetting golfers and triggering a super weed bloom. So yeah, there are weird things that happen, but they are usually emergent and not so random. I don’t have any gopher bombs at the moment. 😉
