Suggestion: Mining Station Returns

I like the fact that by eliminating the enemies on the islands, you effectively liberate them. Some of the islands seem like they should help you in some way but all that really happens is you get a new quest. If there were a couple of islands that once liberated were able to produce resources for you such as metals this could really also help the tediousness of fighting everything to get them. For instance the mining isle could give you ore over time if you go back and collect it, or something similar.

This makes sense. It seems kind of dumb that we're liberating all these places... and then nothing. We get a mod chest... and then nobody even talks to us.

Or those large ships we "capture", which then do nothing. Why aren't they still flying around attacking pirates?
