It seems to be a trend among game developers to push this "empowered strong whamen" as protagonists, it just makes people get away from the game because of ridiculous political statements.
isn't what you're doing the same thing but for a male? Dying light 2 is having this issue with people asking for a female, devs can't win, simple.
