Questions
So it doesn't work with my G2. To say the least. I wanna make it work. Please if you would be so kind, answer my questions.

1. So first of all (just to avoid losing my mind by changing stuff and nothing happens) can I experiment with the VRocker settings by going in and out of the headset changing settings on-the-fly on the desktop with the VRocker settings app open and seeing the changes in VR directly or do I need to restart the whole game and/or the VRocker settings app each time I make an adjustment?

2. In the tutorial it says "This tutorial does not work with HMD movement" (or something like that) Why not? And what does this mean?

3. Here's the part I really do not understand: In the tutorial I can simply run by putting an arm forward pressing button Y. That's not at ALL how this should work, I wanna move by moving IRL. My movement is correctly recognized in the effort-slider in the VRocker settings app. Why is that then not translated to movement? Instead a button press? Completely weird. And "inertia" "effort" and "run in place" are completely ignored. It does not matter what I set there. I gotta say, this is just surprising. If the movement is recognized then this is basically all there is needed. Instead it seems important whether I press some button.

I would so love to get this working. It feels like I must be close, but it just does not happen. I tried main and beta. Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi there - It sounds like there is an issue with with the app recognising the activation button. I can see you joined the Discord channel - where some G2 users are having better luck with the app. I'll get in touch there to debug further....

Can you please address my first question?

Because it's really not clear whether changes are effective immediately or whether you have to restart the VRocker driver, the game or the VRocker settings app for any adjustment in the latter. Thank you.

Ok, I tried it in Alyx now (was only in VRocker Tutorial before) and it works to the point that I can jog in place and move in game, nice! But - I cannot access the menu when VRocker is active. So I cannot get to a place where I can save the game in example. Why is this overridden? Is there a technical reason?

Yes there is an issue with the tutorial and the G2 - will upload a fix asap. To access VRocker while in a game that has defaulted to full screen hit Alt+Enter and then Alt+Tab (or use the task bar). Currently the best way to use the app is to make sure the GUI is visible and to access the desktop in VR, hopefully the app will one day be a SteamVR Dashboard!

To answer you other point about settings - yes they take effect immediately so ne need to restart the app

Thanks, got it to work in Zero Caliber now. Very nice. Although it's not entirely clear what the precise working of "Run in place", "Effort" and "Inertia" is. The onMouse hints don't really explain that. Do you have something more specific written down somewhere?

Hi - The tutorial which launches in VR explains these better - the scene contains a cinematic screen where you can see the impact of some the settings. I'll upload the G2 tutorial fix this week some time so your can try it out yourself. Otherwise the Discord server is another place to ask for help:
