The core game is just not good - Avoid
Forget all of the bugs, glitches, collisions and bad controls for a moment.

I'm about three hours into this game and the actual game itself is really pretty terrible.

So far I've spent most of the game hunting down and killing the stalkers! There's literally no fear or horror in the game.

You're in sneak mode for maybe 30 minutes, then you're tasked with 'defeating' your stalker, then once you do that, you immediately have to defeat the next stalker! In the same area!

What's worse, the AI is incredibly easy to abuse and they give up on chases extremely quickly. The rest of the game lacks any tension as it forces you to figure out how crap the AI is.

For both stalkers I crawled through a hole, they followed me around it, then I crawled back through, waited for them to reset, then snuck up and stabbed them as they investigated the nearby wardrobe (and they did this every single time...)

And boy, do they take a lot of hits. I spent more time looking for weapons than anything else.

Why am I being forced to defeat enemies in a stealth horror game, especially so early on?

Bug fixes won't save this game unfortunately. Really liked the first one but this is a total mess.

As for the story, it's just a load of constant info-dumping. I feel like I'm listening to an audiobook rather than people having conversations the way they narrate everything.

Really just avoid it and move on. It needs so much more development time,

I don't know why they changed that. Or at least one or two bosses would've been fine, while the rest played like Tormented Fathers with more complex mechanics and scenarios. The Red Nun boss battle is terribly designed.

It doesn't help that the game is less about suspense, exploration, puzzle solving and avoiding stalkers, and more about stealth combat.

(Warning: SPOILERS!)
(and sry for my english :))

Too bad that I have to say I not really like it so far.
I loved the first one. It was creepy and you wanted to know how it goes on.
The good thing it has nice characters (i like the style, the clothes, the voices etc)..
I always liked the idea to be quiet and the hide mechanic is ok, we can learned quickly how to use.
It has some bugs, like I stuck sometimes behind a door, because an enemie block it.. They see me, but not attacks me and I have to load the game again. Maybe that will fix soon.

But the game is generally very confusing.
For example on the point where you have to steal the keys from Andrea, you can't crouch. Exactly here is that mechanic important and you can't / don't have to use it??

Also sometimes it is confusing to see what to do. The developers assume that the player already knows it or will only understand it on the second try. A game should be intuitive.

Same with the Story. At the beginning in the bathroom everything seems to be normal for the player, just not for jennifer. She suddenly wants to flee and she is afraid. Why? Weird sounds from the speaker, but that's all the player knows. Only later you see that we should flee from Andrea.

You can find a moth box there you can upgrade your skills. For example Moth power. Is that not a spoiler? Because we don't know about it yet.

Then we meet mr. Ashmann.. exactly the same gameplay again. That is too repetitive in such a short time. A player wants variety and a success experience. But that just diminishes the success against andrea very much.
And same as in begin you don't know you can't kill him, you just have to wait that he catch you.
In my case he was in another room, I walked in the hallway and suddenly he was teleported to me, catched me and the story continued? That was just confusing.

At the point where jennifer is tied up and you have to use the moth power for the first time, you don't know what to do for minutes. Until you understand that you can fly in the room as a moth with WASD. That needs to be explained better.

We learned we can not use the power for ever, but at the point with Elisa we have to use it the whole time? At first I thought I was stuck in the power and I was going back to the main menu. Only then does it become clear that you have to fly the whole time and activate things for Elisa.

The scene with the dog was unnecessary btw.

After the cutscene with Elisa I didn’t play any more, maybe I’ll continue playing soon. But unfortunately I am disappointed with the game so far.

This part was just the start of my confusion with this game! It only gets worse.

My playthrough has just come to an end because of a game breaking glitch.

In the lab I pushed the dumpster the wrong way and can't push it back. All I'm able to do it is keep on pushing it until it's halfway into the wall(??). so I can't trigger the opening of the secret wall door.

Why would they even allow you to push it in the wrong direction, and no option to pull it?

As stated, please avoid.

Everyone can have their own opinion, but i don't understand why you have to portray the game so badly in public, just because you don't like it personally. I like the game extraordinarily well and I can't understand most of the aspects that you portray as negative. But i also don't search for every single letter seperat out of a letter-noodle soup. In addition, the developers are working very quickly on improvements.

Because opinions/feedback are needed, be it good or bad, or nothing would ever change?

And the game is asking for a lot of money for something unfinished and just not good, despite the bugs?

If no one said anything bad then the game would be getting 10/10 and the devs would not update it at all, then release an even more broken Remothered 3.

And best of all, just because my opinions on the game don't affect you, doesn't mean that they are opinions that won't affect other peoples enjoyment.

I'm also very passionate about the indie horror scene and hate to see it abused in this way.

You seem like a good person, but also a very naive one.

I almost bought this game today. Thank you for making this thread, I'll spend my money elsewhere.

Yes, naive and too hasty. Just now, after more than 4 and a half hours of playing, i have reached the moment when Jennifer has to free herself in the cooling room and realized that from this point on really nothing really works anymore, not even the mothpower will work nor the other controls. Now i have to change my review to the negative. You all were right, my fault. Sorry.

Is there an auto save you can go back to before the scene?

It's so bad they released it in this state.

I got the solution for this situation. Jennifer has to use her mothpower on the dog while Andrea is watching TV. So the dog is barking at her and she......does something to give Jennifer access to door behind the dog. Autosaves are there too. If you will move Jennifer out of the cooling room you will find to your right a small room with a metronome. Hope this will help. And have in mind, the mothpower is very clunky sometimes.

Update after reaching the restaurant area in which we will hunted by the red nurse. From this moment on the game is a bad surprise. I have never seen such a mess before. It's getting worse and worse. The more patches the more gamebreaking bugs?
