Trouble with Gallery

I've done all the other areas, so I know all the rules at this point but I cannot for the life of me figure out the 3 of diamonds and the final double basement puzzle in the gallery.

I'm sure the 3 of diamonds involves the whole "paired diamond rule" but I can't figure out what the threes are supposed to be, they don't seem to be standing in for triple dots.

I keep thinking the basement puzzle has to be based on the wine rack but I cannot figure it out if that's the case. I've also been searching for anything in the gallery that might be an 8x17 grid and I just cannot find anything.

Edit: I just figured out the basement one I'm pretty sure so no longer need help with that.

The threes are indeed standing in for triple dots.

I made a similar mistake with the basement one trying to re-make the path between the barrels in the next room or, when that didn't work, think of the # of barrels as "dice dots" or something . Even figured out a basic layout that worked for the 1st option, but it could not be done from the starting tiles offered.

My first thought was the floor tiles since they have a two tone pattern that seemed like it could have been a usable pattern, but I couldn't find an appropriately sized grid of them.
