Jane - swimming competition

Is it possible to win this at all? How does this work? No matter if I jump really far or really close we always end up with score Grant 31 me 24 :(

Read my "Things I wish I knew before I started Dungeon Dreams" guide for info about that. I went with extension dive first, and the rest with energy dive for the remaining two. This may require a few retries though, the trick is not to pres the confirm key when the meter reaches the top, but to guess when it is about to reach its peak and press it a bit before it reaches the peak of the meter. You might reach a tie and then you'll have to redo it all over again and if that happens then I apologize then, it is a VERY annoying event, that much is for sure... ^^;

No problem. And don't feel bad if you get multiple ties, the second part of that three-round competition to have Jane on your team is always a MAJOR pain in the ass for those not used to it, I know that from personal experience after all... Just use F5 to keep reverting back to the save you make before starting the second part of the competition

I'm having an annoying issue of finding out the combination of dialogue choices in order to convince Roine to have Amber to move to Ecallia since, unfortunately for the female MC variant of DD, it's becoming VERY annoying to convince him to do so, and since I am a HUGE Yuri-holic I have no interest in having my female MC romance/marry Roine, whereas it's relatively VERY simple to convince Roine to have Amber move to Ecallia with him. Going to have my female MC marry Jane (as Jane is usually my No. 1 girl in DD of course...! ) to see if that funnels the choice so that it'll be MUCH easier to convince Roine to have Amber move to Ecallia with him instead of CONSTANTLY trying to woo my female MC, REALLY hating that crap after all, really...

I have had enough of this. It's not possible for me to get any other score than 6+2 from the first dive even if I get to exacly same distance as Grant. I spend more than 3h in total reloading and trying and if after hundreds of tries I can't do it then I consider this game breaking bug :(
It's just killing all the fun :(

Like I said, it's a total pain in the ass, but it is doable with the instructions I mentioned.

I'm trying my best to do what you said and every time I'm getting same distance as Grant or even further than him but the first jump always end up with 6+2 points.
I'f I'm at same distance as him or if I'm just 1 cm into pool always same points.

On the second part of the swimming contest he flops SPECTACULARLY, giving you a chance to get points over him. Again, first part with Extension Dive, then the rest with Energy Dive. Be sure to hit the confirm key not when it reaches the top, but when it's getting near it, since the rising meter system is a bit tricky to get used to.

Apologies for the double-comment, but it seems you may be right, the steps I took (which usually always works for the original DD male MC variant) don't seem to spring the same result when using Extension Dive+ x2 Energy Dive, my apologies. So weird though since that usually worked in the original DD variant, hopefully it's just a bug or something that the dev will get to hopefully. That or it's something else, but i'm not sure. Either way, I sincerely apologize.

Once again I apologize for the comment-stacking, but I wanted this to notify (since editting one's own comment doesn't notify of course). At present, there just seems to be no way to win the damn swimming competition against Grant for the female MC variant, i've done what I can and the best result i've gained with the FMC variant of DD during the swimming competition against Grant is 29 using Combo Dive + x2 Energy Dive, both at attempts of which I tried to get the meter up right at/near its peak, but Grant still takes a LOT more points during both the first and third segments of the damn swimming competition, being able to attain over 10 points, MUCH more than what the female MC can do, so yeah... atm it's pretty much broken atm, dunno if that's intentional on the dev's part or not. Fortunately, you don't need to win the swimming competition and instead the third part (for the female MC variant, dunno if it applies to the original male MC variant of DD obviously) can be won MUCH more easily by just doing a bit of simplistic puzzle solving. I chose "Let's go outside" for the third part of the sidequest, though i'm not sure if it makes much difference. Again, the third and final part requires a bit of puzzle solving. I did so and successfully managed to gain Jane's vote afterwards.

Thanks for that :) At least now I know I cant win it so I can move on :)
As for 3th part of Jane quest I can't get her out outside. She keep saying she is busy and then pop up at my house at nigh for a date and I can't seems to please her :(
Obviously that means that I'm loosing her to Grant:(

How did you mad her go outside for puzzle solving?

Well, she just generally decided to take the "date" elsewhere since I managed to get it done shortly after the swimming competition, I did so during the dusk hour as it was that time after the swimming competition for me, don't think it's needed to be that time, but that's just how it went for me, and as such I managed to get the simplistic puzzle solving done. Also, maybe it's related to dialogue options. If you're desperate then you can copy/upload your save so that I can get the third part ready for you, only if you're desperate though of course. I recommend MediaFire to upload it since that's the file sharing site I usually use for my file-sharing needs and it's proven very good to use over the years.
