Jane's puzzle
Okay, I am completely lost as to how we are supposed to figure out the 3 digit code. The formulas on the note make no sense. Can anyone give me a hint please?

if you look closely at the note, you can see what number represent how many X's i think 6=1x 8=2x and 9=1x, the ?+?+? needs 6 x's, soo only possible answer would be 888 to get 6 x's

There's a spot where Jane goes to and stays momentarily, there's a note there that instantly tells you how to get the code, don't forget the each part of the code is "color-coded", meaning that you need to match each number to its correct code on the code input dialogue via its color for each number, if you're referring to the vile Thieves' Guild quest to get her hidden sub-class that is.

I am referring to the very first quest where you break into an old one night stand's home to retrieve a personal item. The note contains a bunch of formulas that are all white, the first one being "8+1+2=xx". The only other color is the last formula which is "?+?+?=xxxxxx" where the question marks are red.

Ah, I see. I thought it was the code needed to get into the Thieves' Guild hideout, my apologies. ^^;

Try: 888, it worked for me.

That worked. Did you understand the puzzle or did you just get lucky?

The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

The code for Fiona's first assignment is 888. It worked for me.
